Texas Hot Wieners to die for

My husband & I used to go to the Famous Texas Lunch in Carlisle, Pa every Friday evening for a Texas Hot Wiener and a Texas Hot Hamburger, neither of which are spicy hot, just very very good.  The hotdogs are made by Weavers (tough-skinned short hotdogs) with mustard on the steamed bun, chili & piled high with delicious onions.  We have to take a pepcid to be able to eat them but they are more than worth it.  The Famous Texas closed but we go to Ernie Kranias's  Texas Lunch on Chambersburg Street in Gettysburg, Pa every other week.  By the time you eat the Texas hot wiener & the Texas hot hamburger, you have NO room for fries or anything else.  Their soda fountain coca colas have a lot of coke syrup in the drink the way they used to make them in the old days.  This place is worth taking a trip to.
